No Board of Education has been as diligent and transparent with the Holmdel community as this current one, which includes incumbents Mann & Buckley.

We’ve compiled and shared 15 years of historical data, financial reports, and the full teachers’ contract, ensuring every taxpayer has a clear understanding of our district’s finances.

While our opponents claim they'll "get to the bottom" of our budget gap, we've understood these challenges for over 24 months and consistently communicated them to our community. 

They must not be paying attention because the data was put in front of every Holmdel taxpayer, highlighting our challenges.

What we need now are solutions, not investigations. And we have been working on them this past year.  We’ve been preparing for months, with real action possible only after the contract expired in June.

Negotiating a fair teachers’ contract that balances support for educators with fiscal responsibility and helps reduce the deficit.

Evaluating custodial outsourcing, projected to save $800,000+ annually in salaries and benefits.

Reviewing courtesy busing, which costs over $600,000 per year.

Collaborating with the Township Committee, securing $850,000 in funding for school resource officers and courtesy busing (though this funding must be renewed in 2026).

Each year, the BOE works to overcome budget deficits, something John and Jeff have successfully tackled for several years, tightening gaps through proactive solutions.

Our community is only aware of next year’s projected deficit because this BOE chose to communicate early, transparency that typically doesn’t happen until budget approval discussions in March.
